How do you download and install the 888i APK?

How do you tell an APK from a home-screen web app?
Three signs, all on your own phone, in under a minute:
- 1The first prompt. If Android asks you to let Chrome, Files or a messenger «install unknown apps», you are installing an APK. A web app never needs that switch.
- 2The download list. An APK leaves a file in your browser's Downloads and in the Files app. A web app leaves no file at all.
- 3How it opens. A web app opens like the website with the browser bar hidden, and clearing Chrome's data clears it too. An installed APK runs on its own and keeps its own storage under Settings → Apps.

Both open the same games. The web app is lighter and needs no install switch; the APK runs from its own icon without Chrome. Store listings with «888» in the name usually come from other developers, so read the developer line before installing one. What does Android ask during the 888i install?
Three screens are normal for an APK, in this order:
- «Install unknown apps» — one switch for the browser you downloaded with.
- «Do you want to install this app?» — the installer's own confirmation, with the app name and icon.
- A Play Protect scan — a note about an unknown developer is normal for any app installed from outside Google Play.
